Helga Henson is a poet from Barnaul, Russia. She has graduated with a BA in World Performance from East 15 Acting School and an MA in Creative Writing from Bath Spa University. She is currently doing research and writing for a PhD in Creative Writing at the University of Exeter, centred on surrealism, automatism, and unconscious conceptualisation.

Helga Henson reconstructs objects and scenarios with a personally developed strain of automatism, in conversation with her unconscious personalities and their obsessions; finding the same in a different light, and encouraging possession by the marvellous to communicate with something vaster than the body and the mind. The meaning of the images is their colour and placement. The goal is to be as direct as possible, while staying in the domain of surreality, to manifest events that have not happened before, in this way, to anyone.
